That would be awesome, thanks Drew! We shouldn't be working on the weekend anyway, right?
BTW, my purpose for setting this up is to test Ansible. Any experience with Ansible and automation with Extreme switches? I have over 1000 switches to manage - Extreme mostly, Cisco, Juniper... So I wanted to have an automated way to push out configuration changes, upgrades, etc.

Thanks again

How do you install the SSH Module for the VM version?

Get error: Downloading to SwitchError: Failed to download image - Error: File SUMMIT is not suitable for UNKNOWN

https://xkit.extremenetworks.com/app/v/extremexosvm

The switch version show 15.3.1.4 for the primary.

I've tried multiple versions of the ssh module:
summitX-15.3.1.4-patch1-41-ssh.xmod
summitX-15.3.1.4-patch1-7-ssh.xmod

Thanks in advance

Hi John, Welcome to The Hub!
There are newer versions of the VM files on our GitHub: https://github.com/extremenetworks/Virtual_EXOS
The xKit site is supposed to have been taken offline...

Regarding the SSH module, you will need the file made for the VM; it requires a different xmod than SummitX. I'll upload the correct files for all of the versions on Github. It will probably be Monday before I can get to it though.
Once they're posted, I'll update the thread here. Will that work for you?

Hi John,
The SSH files are available on GitHub now... https://github.com/extremenetworks/Virtual_EXOS
If you need help installing it, check out this article: How to Obtain and Install EXOS SSH module

Regarding Ansible, I haven't personally done any work with it on EXOS, though I know there is some interest from others. May I suggest posting your questions here (in a new thread) so that they'll have a little more visibility and so that we can direct the right people internally to you, if that's what needs to happen. Make sure to tag it with the "scripting" category when posting.

Let us know if you need anything!
Thanks Drew, much appreciated. I will repost with a new question.

I'd lean toward a new one to reach a wider audience.
