Hi,

The command "show switch' should give you that output:

ExtremeCore.1 # show switch

SysName: ExtremeCore

System Type: X440G2-12p-10G4

You are looking for the "System Type" line.

Thanks,

Hello, I'm brand new to extreme summit hardware. I purchased a X440-48p and installed in my rack. The fan speeds are constantly 1100 RPM. This is installed in a quiet location and the noise is too much. It's in a sound dampened closet and we can still hear it. Is there any way to turn the fans down? I'm on v16.1.3.6 if that helps. Thanks for any advice. Desperately needing some help or I'll have to return this thing. Thanks so much.

Hi Russell,

Is this a generation 1 x440? If so, those have been end of sale for a while now. However it is most likely "functioning as designed" per below:

Q A: On a Summit X440 fans speed is always listed as 11000 RPM even if the temperature is low | Extreme Portal (force.com)

Thanks,
Chris Thompson
How can I tell if this is a v1? If it's another version is there a solution to slow the fans?

Thanks for the updates. For the G1 platform there would be no way to manipulate that fan setting.

Thanks,
Chris Thompson
