It depends. If the version of code on the MSM is too old  (Pre EXOS 12.6) it might not be able to sync and would have to be done manually.&lt;BR /&gt;

      <description>First MSM-A slot is down and MSM-B is working as master,When new RMA MSM-A slot inserted in to the switch both Backup MSM-B gets down and stopped working. If we remove the RMA MSM backup MSM-B is working.</description>

when we execute sync from master it should copy current EXOS to new msm &amp;amp; will upgrade and both will sync and it will start work ?&lt;BR /&gt;
