topic VIRTUALIZED DNS SERVER STOPS ANSWER WHEN USING XOS 16.1.3.6-PATCH1-9 in ExtremeSwitching (EXOS/Switch Engine)

Good morning.

I hope you can support me with the following problem that I presented myself yesterday.

I have an X440-24t (XOS 15.3.1.4-patch1-19) connected to a BD-8810 (XOS 12.4.5.3) via a Link Aggregation.

In this switch I have the primary and secondary DNS servers connected.

As part of the maintenance, XOS is updated to the XOS version 16.1.3.6-patch1-9, which is recommended by Extreme.

After restarting the switch, the DNS servers stopped responding, even the fans showed fail. The equipment could be administered with its administration IP.

When returning to the memory module with the previous version (XOS 15.3.1.4-patch1-19), DNS servers respond normally.

Then load other XOS lower-than-recommended vehicles:
XOS 15.3.5.2 patch1-8
XOS 15.4.1.3

When running these versions the primary server does not respond but the secondary if and the fans do not show errors.

-The wiring is checked and correct.
-Compare the LAG configuration on the BD8810 and X440 and it is the same.
-Install another X440-24t with version 16.1.3.6-patch1-9 and the DNS server stops responding.

I had to leave the equipment with the version that I had to not interrupt services.

DNS servers are virtualized.

I hope you can support me.

Greetings.
Jorge,

Could you please check if there is any configuration part missing or getting removed after we upgraded to 16.1.3.6-patch1-9?

Compare both the configuration when the switch is running on 15.3 & 16.1.3
In the show logs do you see any error messages?
