IP phones hang at discover mode , is configuring lldp on extreme switch mandatory ?

IP phones (avaya) hang at discover mode and unable to communicate to call manager server , is configuring lldp on extreme switch access ports mandatory ?

Are below lines enough:

enable lldp ports

configure lldp port advertise vendor-specific med capabilities

configure lldp port advertise vendor-specific dot1 vlan-name vlan

configure lldp transmit-interval 5

Are above commands for access ports only on which ip phones connect?

Here is what I use: Works like a charm.

configure lldp port 1:1 advertise vendor-specific dot1 port-vlan-id
configure lldp port 1:1 advertise vendor-specific dot3 power-via-mdi with-classification
configure lldp port 1:1 advertise vendor-specific avaya-extreme poe-conservation-request
configure lldp port 1:1 advertise vendor-specific avaya-extreme call-server 10.8.*.*
configure lldp port 1:1 advertise vendor-specific avaya-extreme file-server 10.8.*.*
configure lldp port 1:1 advertise vendor-specific avaya-extreme dot1q-framing auto
configure lldp port 1:1 advertise vendor-specific med capabilities

now phones are not hanging they are getting registered and working.

but there is disturbance in voice quality/

Please take a look at this article and see if you can prioritize the voice traffic in the network. https://gtacknowledge.extremenetworks.com/articles/How_To/Configuring-QOS-profiles-and-verify-QOS-is-working I am pointing to this article considering that there are no packet drops in the network. You might need to check the Voice traffic patch and see if the ports does not drop packets due to high traffic and then you can apply the QOS profile.
