To my great surpeise, in our latest shipment of X450-G2, there are no longer any dust caps on the stack and SFP slots.

Is there some new and hidden feature to protect the inner parts of the ports or is it just saving some pennies here and let the customer buy them for dollars ??

Maybe a new part number ??

Or they simply got stolen by UPS ??

Any thoughts ??

Greetings,

Holger

No it’s not the money. You have to order them separately because they are country dependent like the power supply.

Just kidding 😉

Greetings,

I noticed this too and simply decided to buy some SFP-Modules to cover the SFP-Slots. Since they only act as dust-protectors they don’t need to be original Extreme SFPs and thus only cost a few dollars. 🙂

Regards
Stefan
