Hi,

X440-G2 is actually bound to a warranty where lifetime (EoS + 5yr) updates and upgrades are assured. Perhaps your extremeportal account is not bound to a VAR/Customer account or relevant purchase. Thus, the best you can do is open a GTAC case indeed. Or just call them, that will probably take the least amount of time: https://www.extremenetworks.com/support/contact/

Worse case would be if this is a second-hand purchase, I’d have a bad news then…

Hope that helps,

Tomasz

When I try to download an update for my product, the system displays a message:
Please Create a Case soG TAC can investigate download entitlement.
I have already created a request several times, but never received any response.

Do you have an support contract? If yes, maybe the contract is not matched to you account. Your local sales team from extreme should be able to help you.

No, there is no support contract.
Does this mean that I am not allowed to update the OS on my existing Extreme hardware?

I'm sorry, this is the first time I've encountered extreme hardware, and it's not clear to me what it means: VAR/Customer account.
And how can this be verified? And if your guess is correct, how do I fix it?
I would be grateful for a hint.
P.S. Of course you can call, but my poor English is unlikely to allow you to explain the situation to them, and understand what you need to do.
In writing, a translator helps a lot.

Hi,

VAR - Value Added Reseller - a partner company to Extreme.

Anyway, your account and your purchase don’t seem to match in the database, that’s my guess. The only way to fix it is to let GTAC know and let them verify the situation on their side.

If you prefer to contact GTAC through text, use this: https://extremeportal.force.com/ExtrCaseCreation

Hope that helps,

Tomasz
