If you also dont see anything appearing on typing on the login prompt I suggest you look at your cable, your putty settings as it seems then all your typing is not received by the switch at all.

Summit X670-g2-48x does not respond to spacebar to enter bootrom

Im trying to reset the switch but it refuses to enter to bootrom. It loads the secondary OS image and gives me a "Pending-AAA login:" prompt. It does not let me type anything.

Then a warning appears "Warning: the stack has no master node and all active nodes are operating with master-capability turned off. If you wish to configure, you may log in using the failsafe account. Alternatively, you may use the special login REBOOT AS MASTER-CAPABLE with no password to force a reboot of a node with master-capability temporarily turned on."

The thing with that is that I cannot even type anything on the prompt.

Im using Windows 7 with putty

You're probably right since I've just made my own rj45 to db9 cable.

Thanks
