Dual 10G Upgrade in a Stack

Hi, I want to install a additional dual 10 G upgrade license to a member of the stack. I generated licenses for this members, but I don`t able to install this via ssh connection. The try ends with this message “Error: Unable to set license using supplied key”. How I can install this licenses?

Hi Frank

I’m not sure if this is what you’re doing, but we’re unable to assign 2 Two 10G licenses in order to make 4 10G ports. A 4 port 10G license must be applied to the switch.

Hi Brad, thanks for response. It is a stack, consist of 3 Switches and I want to use 2 10GBe connections of every switch (stack member).

Hi Frank,

Sure. Once you have SSH’d into the stack, please telnet to the proper slot where you want to apply the license by issuing the command “telnet slot <x>”. You should then be able to use “install license <key>” command successfully.
