How many Core licenses are required in a stack of EXOS X460-G2 in Master / Backup scheme?

Just one license would be needed in that scenario.

Doesn't matter what is the firmware version on the switches? It is always the same number of licenses in any of the two schemes?

I am not aware of any firmware related differences.

I do strongly recommend the the master/backup option though.
