topic ELRP Not Working in ExtremeSwitching (EXOS/Switch Engine)

Hi,

I have a number of x450e switches in stacks across my estate. All stacks have been configured with the following elrp config:

# Module elrp configuration.
#
enable elrp-client
configure elrp-client periodic PCs ports all interval 1 log-and-trap disable-port permanent

A loop was created within the PCs vlan, but the stack did not detect the loop on those ports and brought down the vlan. Nothing was logged and no ports were disabled.

I have tested this on a standalone switch with the same config and it worked as expected and disabled the problem port but when the config is applied to a stack, it does not work.

Switches are running firmware 15.3.5.2

Can anyone offer any help?

Problem solved. The vlan I wanted elrp to work on had the protocol set to IP only. As ELRP uses multicast it was stopping the traffic hence ELRP not working. Set it to ANY and all is working as expected.
