&lt;BR /&gt;
The config file for the 3800 should be a txt file that you can open.  It is really nothing than the commands you would use to configure the switch.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
If you can open the file in Notepad then it shouldn't be corrupt.&lt;BR /&gt;
