topic Any way to keep VLAN name across switches when using MVRP? in ExtremeSwitching (EXOS/Switch Engine)

Just set up MVRP for the first time. The problem I’m having is that it keeps the VLAN name (alias) on the switch where it’s defined, but on the other switches it just shows a generic “SYS_VLAN_###” name. Is there any way to retain the alias on the other switches? With a hundred or so vlans, it’s hard to know what you’re looking at when you only see these generic names.

Thanks!

Hi,

I don’t think there is currently a way to do that without leveraging another automation tool(python, .xsf files, etc)

Thanks,

Chris Thompson
