In a simple one router network, you can use MVR without PIM, right?

Hi Roy,

Yes, MVR is a way of forwarding multicast traffic between VLANs without PIM, which is helpful as MVR doesn't require any specific EXOS license to use, unlike PIM.

Probably a dumb question, when the igmp join hits the mvr enabled vlan does the receiving vlan get flooded or does it go straight to the host?

Traffic would be flooded on the 'receiver' VLAN.
