Error - The utilization of Host Entries hardware table on slot 1 has exceeded 90%

We see this error on our X440G2 stacks multiple times a day:

<Noti:HAL.Card.L2L3HwTblThrshldExcd> The utilization of Host Entries hardware table on slot 1 has exceeded 90%

It seem to correlate with very limited or no throughout on ports which have WiFi access points connected to them.

Can anyone shed some light on what I should be looking for?

Thanks for the link - we have not changed

configure fdb agingtime

from the default would you suggest lowing from the default of 300? If so to what value?

We also only have 20 vlans - in the example it talks of hundreds - would that matter? I don’t believe we have erlp enabled either.

Happy to test and lower the agetime and enable elrp if you think that would help.

ERLP will not help here.

Try to lower the agetime and if possible reduce the amount of vlans on the switch to check if that helps.
