Hello Everyone,

I'm new to Extreme and am looking for some guidance. I have been working on creating a standard image for our 5520 switches and have been able to do so except for one thing, changing a VLAN IP address automatically.

What I have so far is a primary image that uses a reserved IP address, well say 192.168.1.250. That means that when a switch boots and runs this config it will use the 2.250 IP. This could cause an issue if say 2 switches in line had a power failure because they would both have the same IP. What I'm wanting to do is have a separate script on each switch that runs after a reboot and will change the IP address to the static I need.

I have the script working, I just need to know if I can set a trigger to run the script at boot. If I can, how do I do this?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

You can use an "autoexec.xsf" file to run commands every time the switch boots. Below describes the process a little better:

https://extremeportal.force.com/ExtrArticleDetail?an=000063120

Thanks,
Chris Thompson
