Console cable hell for x460-48p! SOS! :)

Bought an aftermarket x460-48p and I've had a HECK of a time finding the right console cable to connect to the console via serial port. I seem to be getting different answers everytime I find another resource:

-DB9 cable per summit hw install manual pinout (RXD on pin 2, TXD on pin 3)

Tried these two cables so far and putty just hangs, hitting enter does nothing:

Flow Control setting in your Putty?

If you try at switch boot time, you see some text scrolling? If so your tx/rx line are correct.

Ive tried both none and XON/XOFF, and rebooting the switch while "connected" and no output on putty. Have a feeling the cable is the wrong one and the docs have transposed RXD and TXD. New cable coming today with switched RXD and TXD

Set the serial connection settings to:

~~115200 bps (X465, X590, X690, X870 and VSP 7400 models)~~
~~115200 bps (Universal 5320, 5420, 5520 and 5720 models)~~
9600 bps (Other models)
No parity
8 Data bits
1 Stop bit
XON/XOFF flow control

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but the pdf documentation seems wrong in regard to the pinout needed for the DB9 cable.
