Hi Nakul,

will you use the native stacking ports (QSFP)? Then just do the cabling* and execute these commands

<LI-CODE lang="markup">show stacking</LI-CODE>

verify that all switches are listed here. After that execute:

<LI-CODE lang="markup">configure stacking easy-setup</LI-CODE>

Switch will be stacked and rebooted automatically.

*Cabling is done as follows (copied from GTAC):

Connect all nodes using the stacking ports.

Keep in mind that stack port 2 (the higher number port) of switch A should be connected to stack port 1 (the lower number port) of switch B. This pattern continues down the stack.

If you have enough cables to create a full ring, connect stack port 2 of the last switch back around to stack port 1 of the first. This adds additional redundancy in case of cable failure.

Regarding your second question:

You want to have a dedicated IP-Address for each physical switch in the same stack? That isn't possible. And I don't know why this should be required.

Best regards
Stefan
