Hello!

I have to configure LLDP-MED in a 4220 and the command is not allowed by the CLI:

Enable lldp port all

configure lldp port all advertise vendor-specific med capabilities

configure lldp port all advertise vendor-specific med power-via-mdi

configure lldp port all advertise vendor-specific med policy application voice vlan voip dscp 46

configure lldp ports all advertise system-capabilities

Configure lldp port all advertise vendor-specific dot1 port-protocol-vlan-id vlan voip

configure lldp ports all advertise vendor-specific dot1 vlan-name vlan voip

I assume this is part of the limitations of the CLI in the 4220

Is it possible to configure LLDP-MED using SNMPv3 in the 4220?

If it is possible, is it possible to use a tool like SNMP mib browser, or generic snmpget/snmpset operations to perform this setup in the 4220?

If the answers to the previous questions are affirmative, are there parts of the 4220 configuration that are not available via SNMPv3?

Thanks in advance.

Salva

As far as I know, you need to configure the lldp settings in the cloud and push those configs from the cloud to the switch. Unfortunately one of the many cli limitations of these 42xx switches.

We finally found a method to push configurations to the 4220 without needing XIQ. customer is happy, now 🙂
