Dear Team,

I had configured Extreme summit X440-24P of 6 switches and enabled stack. At that time slot 1 was Active and slot 6 was Backup. Now I want to remove the stack switch of slot 6 and want to make slot 5 as backup from standby. What are the commands need to do the following. When I just switch offed the power of stack slot 6 switch, none of the other switch is getting backup enabled, and when the power for stack slot 1 which is active is switched off none of the other switches are becoming active. Anybody please help me on this.
Why isn't slot 2 the backup?

configure stacking slot x master capability on

The above command will allow a switch to take the master or backup role.

Thanks,
