I have a MSM48c that is currently running on verion 12.6 code , and has G48Ta / 10G4Xc cards installed , the end user is suggesting an 8900 spec card , I believe it is not supported ( MSM128 ) just want to see some documented evidence.

Hi thanks for the update, its more the other way round ..

For example can I run a MSM48c and 8900-10G8X-xl in the same chassis while also
have G48Ta and 10G4xc cards

Normally I would expect the 8900 cards to need a MSM128

That configuration will run just fine, but you'll be limited to EXOS v15.1.x because of the G48Ta (not supported after that).
To use the full capabilities of the 8900 cards, you'll want a MSM128 to also be present.
