Dear Experts,

The FCS of gPTP sync messages sent by Extreme Networks AVB Switch Summit x440-24t is marked in Wireshark as bad.
I have the following firmware on my switch:
* X440-24t.4 # show version
Switch      : 800471-00-12 1407N-41055 Rev 12.0 BootROM: 2.0.2.1    IMG: 15.4.1.3
PSU-1       : Internal Power Supply
PSU-2       :

Image   : ExtremeXOS version 15.4.1.3 v1541b3-patch1-12 by release-manager
on Sat May 3 12:30:21 EDT 2014
BootROM : 2.0.2.1
Diagnostics : 6.3

Is there a fix for this issue?

Best regards,
Jakub Mielczarek
Jakub,

I do not think the packets actually have a bad FCS. This could be related to how they are being captured or a Wireshark issue.

How are you capturing the traffic and what version of Wireshark are you using?
