Hi Nikolay and Stephen,

I don't think MLAG design would work, because the customer won't have double direct uplinks to core in all BPE (actual design is just like the example 1 above).

Thanks for your help!

Best regards,
Hi Guys,

We are working on a project to an existing Legacy-Enterasys customer, to fight Aruba's approach on a customer using 2 X690 as Cores, and thinking about V400 Bridge Port Extenders for access (using 1G uplinks due to customer needs and infrastructure constrictions)...

The problem is the customer's "rings"... They are mandatory to the customer, because they want redundancy to the access. Do you think any of the following designs could work???

Best regards,
Hello Leonardo,

Such kind of design will be implemented in a future EXOS release.
Currently, it is better to make a network design with MLAG in the Core as Control Bridges.

Best Regards,

Nether are supported at the moment, but the ring topology with one Controlling bridge is in the roadmap.
Hello Leonardo,

The following design when the only top BPE has double links to Core is also supported. Bottom BPEs may have single link connection or LAG.

We plan to support Ring topology in Extended Edge Switching to provide redundancy in EXOS 22.7.x.
