10G XGM3 Module Port flapping on X460

Hello

Yesterday, we get an e-mail from Extreme Networks, that the 10G XGM3 Module has problem with the X460. The Port is flapping if the software is higher than 15.1. Has the Software Release 15.4.1.3 Patch 1-5 also this problem?

The sustaining release that solves this problem is ExtremeXOS v15.3.4.

Thank's for the fast answer.

We have this Field Notice. We only see that the problem is resolved in the versions 15.1.5.4-patch1-7, 15.2.4.5-patch1-5, 15.3.1.4-patch1-33 and 15.3.3.5-patch1-6. But we don't see something about the newest Software Release (15.4.1.3patch-5). What's about this Software Release?

I don't know if 15.4 shows this problem, but to be safe please contact the TAC for the final word.

I would say main port flapping issue has been resolved in EXOS15.3.3.5-patch1-3. However, we are seeing error message during bootup, "Error while loading "halPortDebounce": No interface found!" seen on switches without 10G ports. No functional impact due to this error message.

To resolve this error messages, we have reopened the original PD PD4-4210959789 and it would get resolve in later patches.

The EXOS 15.3.3 patch 1-6 will going to release soon.
The EXOS 15.4, we are waiting for the confirmation from our team.

sorry i am a bit confused.
Is the issue solved in all software-versions above 15.3.4? Or is it still appear at newer sw-versions like 15.4.1.3.5 Patch 1-5?

For EXOS 15.4, I am not sure.. I think you need to wait for couple of more days for the exact information. However, the issue is definitely resolved on EXOS 15.1.5.4-patch1-7, 15.2.4.5-patch1-5, 15.3.1.4-patch1-33, 15.3.3 patch 1-6.

I had this problem on a switch and used the Extreme X460-EXOS 15.4.1.3 patch1-9 version that also solved this problem in the flap port.

Does this issue also apply to 10 Gb links on x670 switches without XGM3 module running 15.1.4 and earlier? Or does this just apply to 460s with XGM3 module?

It applies to 10g ports including chassis based Switches bdx8 and bs 8k There must be a updated bulletin

I'd like to clarify this a bit. There was an issue on X670, unrelated to the X460 issue this topic is covering. You may be thinking of xos0047059:

Port stuck in "down state" when adjacent switch connected to the x670-48x is rebooted.

This issue is resolved in EXOS 12.6.2, EXOS 15.1.2, and EXOS 15.2.1 (and greater).

Maybe 2 separate issues then??
Does the X670 have issues with 10Gb link flapping when running XOS v15.1.4 or earlier?
I am trying to figure out if I need to set debouce times to 150ms on the X670.
Can you tell me how to get the tech notes for these issues?
