How would I use filezilla ftp server to upgrade my switches. Does the extreme switch has a log on that is needs to make a handshake.

I'm not sure about the ability to enter a username and password though. I think it defaults to anonymous/anonymous, but could be wrong.

EXOS 15.7 or earlier supports TFTP not FTP. If Filezilla doesn't support TFTP server, you may need to download an image via SFTP.

download url ftp:/// is available with EXOS 16.1.1 but only works with anonymous ftp

Thanks for your replies. this was resolved. Ports where blocked going out Backbone router.
