Hey Ansley

Here's an email from engineering.

"If the customer has “config forwarding external-table l3-only” then the L2 FDB size will be that of the internal table – 32K"

Thanks
Hi, I was just wondering if anyone had the stats on the internal table capacity of the X480. The external tables are configurable, I know, but all the documentation shows "up to..." for potential configurable capacity.

To put it in context, I have a couple of X480s I use in the core of my network. They run full BGP routes, so I had to configure the external tables to L3-only. However, they do have a small but significant L2 FDB load - so far I've had no issues but without a solid number I don't have a way to do growth capacity planning. With the external tables set to L3-only, what's the FDB capacity of the X480? (from Ansley_Barnes)
