Problem with rate-limit on summit X650

Hello,

I have two X650 stacked together they both have firmware XOS 12.5.4.5 v1254b5-patch1-6.

I set rate-limit flood broadcast for example 1000pps on 10G port 1:15 and I see on show ports rate-limit flood command that Flood Rate Exceeded is still increasing. The problem is that on graphs I see only 300pps of broadcast traffic the same thing is when i do show port statistics command, values of broadcast traffic are increasing about ~300pps. So I did a test and configured rate-limit flood broadcast for this port to 200000pps .. and i show ports rate-limit flood Flood Rate Exceeded is still increasing.

Maybe somebody could test it on their switches or explain to me what I'm doing wrong.

How about unconfiguring the meter and see the pps in show port stats? Do you genuinely have a large number of broadcast packets coming in?

This could also be a bug with the counters. Verify with TAC

Let us know what the outcome is.
