Hi Minnie,

From what I understand:
- you've created the VLAN - was it with some tag or not?
- you've added the board-facing port to that VLAN - with 'tagged' keyword or not?
- did you add the PC-facing port to the same VLAN?
If no routing is to be used, all ports for the same broadcast domain should be in the same VLAN, untagged by default, tagged when a connected device is capable of sending 802.1Q frames with relevant VLAN ID.
If you pasted 'show vlan' and 'show vlan
' for relevant VLANs and/or 'show config', we could assist you further.

Kind regards,
Hi I am currently working in the Auto Lab in SKKU.
I have a problem sending 802.1q frames to the board via Summit x440 - 8t switch.
From PC, I broadcasted a frame to the switch. Even I configured the VLAN by creating a VLAN and assigning port 1 which is connected to a board, the board cannot receive any frames that PC sent.

What other configurations do I have to consider? Also, is there a way to change the switch to link layer?

BTW, the board that I connected to the switch only receives link layer frames.

Thank you.
