Is there a way to reset a port back to factory default. For instance if I have a port with 7 vlans tagged and 1 untagged with elrp on the port, how can I get the port back to just vlan default untagged without having to delete each vlan manually and disabling elrp manually. Thanks in advance!

Hey Blake

Adding a port to a VLAN is a VLAN function not a Port function so unless we create a script that looks at at ports info detail and then automatically deletes it from each VLAN using a do while loop.

I would have to play with it to see how that would work if it can.
You can remove all the vlans from a port easily.

enable mirroring to port X
then
disable mirroring

This command I have to run quite frequently since it is a hassle to remove over 100 vlans from one port.

I wish there was a enable port default-settings port X
then with a question to confirm this.
@Andrea, thanks for the idea. When you turn on mirroring it removes all settings, is that correct? I quick command to clear everything. Again, I like the idea.
Yes that is correct it removes stp etc and such from the port not sure about ethtype etc but it removes all the vlan information at least.
For me port mirroring doesn't work, I get an error:

switch # enable mirror to port 10:33
Error: Port mirroring cannot be enabled on a trunk member port 10:33
Configuration failed on backup MSM, command execution aborted!

switch #

Anyone has an alternative idea how to change a tagged port to an untagged access port?
I also tried to delete it from all vlans, but it doesn't work.

Hi Endre, that message indicates this port belongs to a LAG. You can confirm that by using "show ports sharing" command.

Do you want to mirror the traffic to a local or remote port?

In newer versions of EXOS, you can reference VLANs by VLAN ID, rather than just by name. With this you can do

code:
configure vlan 1-4095 delete port port_number
