topic RE: in Summit X460G2 24 ports, does not link in the last 4 ports copper a device that negotiates to 10 HD. Why do not you link to those ports? in ExtremeSwitching (EXOS/Switch Engine)

Though half duplex is not supported on the x460-G2, the link may come up at half duplex on the combo ports of the X460-G2 switch. While the switch fabric chip does not support half-duplex, the external PHY present in the combo ports does support half-duplex operation. This behavior is a software bug as this is an invalid configuration. CR xos0061486 has been created to disable half-duplex on the external PHYs for the combo ports.
*All configurations Non-blocking full duplex * Two new 48 port switches with 10GbE uplinks that support 24 ports with half/full-duplex operation You definitely have my interest, I can't wait to see an official answer. The above is from the data sheet and makes me wonder if they changed the hardware. I swear we previously had issues with half duplex on all 460-G2 and 450-G2 ports.

Steven,

I am familiar with your response but that leaves me questioning the change in the data sheet.

Talking with a coworker it sounds like there was a release of a a couple 460-G2 models that support half duplex.

Please confirm and provide any details you might have.

Hi David,
The update in 21.1 and later. Ports 25-48 on the X460-G2-24t-24ht-10GE4 and X460-G2-24p-24hp-10GE4 models can operate in half-duplex mode. All other X460-G2 ports are full-duplex. The document link as below, you could see the different from 2 link.
