Hi all,

My x350 48T show a problem with a cooler/fan number 7, this cooler is very very noise and show many messages in the log alternating between OPERATIONAL and FAILED.

07/26/2015 21:06:55.92 Switch, Error 5: Fan #7 operational. Rpm 1000 is back to operating range (from 1000 to 1000 rpm). (X350-48t, P/N: 800243-00-03, S/N: 1047G-80603, Rev: 3.0)
07/26/2015 21:06:25.91 Switch, Error 4: Fan #7 failed. Rpm 0 is out of operating range (from 1000 to 1000 rpm). (X350-48t, P/N: 800243-00-03, S/N: 1047G-80603, Rev: 3.0)

I try found it but no sucess. I saw a post that show a cooler 80x80x25 Elida Fan as compatible, it is true?

It´s ease to replace the fan from x350?

Hi Gustavo,
I can't recommend that you replace the fan directly, but it looks like that switch would be covered under warranty. That allows you to get you a replacement switch instead of replacing the fan and voiding warranty.
You'll want to open a case with GTAC so they can confirm that you're covered and help get a replacement out.

Can you advise if we will need to shut down the switch to remove the fan or not ?

If the fan is a field replaceable one (not built in), you will not need to power off the switch.
