I found that and set it up but don't know if I need to create separate meters for each link or can I share the meter and use it on multiple ports? I don't want to share the bandwidth for example have 5 ports with 10M meter each.

Let me know what you think?

Thanks,

Patrick

I've been researching how to control bandwidth with any newer version of Exos and looks like egress is simple with the configure rate-limit xx port x out drop
command but didn't find any ingress. I did find a post about creating a policy to match all then meter xx bandwidth for outbound. I wonder if this is the best way or only way and does the cpu take a hit on this kind of traffic. I will be using 5520 switches and need about 20 different drops rate-limited in a data center.
Anyone have any other recommendations? or caveats?
Thanks in Advance!
Patrick
