The only real downside is that you would be limited to EXOS 15.3. Other than that, this should work.&lt;BR /&gt;

      <title>Can I stack X450e with x440</title>

      <description>Based on the XOS matrix I should be able to stack X450e switches with X440-48P using the inbuilt stacking option. XOS 15.3.5.2-patch1-13 , understand that this is probably not recommended , but has anyone done this , and what are the pit falls ?&lt;BR /&gt;

I would expect to use the X440-48P as master and backup in the slot ..&lt;BR /&gt;
