I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong here, I currently have a stack of 5 switches (All X450-G2 using the front 10Gb ports)

I'm plugging in the rear dedicated 21Gbs ports but not getting any link light, do I need to disable the stack first before? Hopefully not as I'd love to do this the easy way 
For some reason, you already have configured your stack using "alternate" port, ie the 10G front ports, instead of the "Native" stacking ports (rear). Also, you are in daisy-chain, which is not recommended.

I think you need to reboot when you change from alternate port to native port.
From the provided output, I do not see a backup slot has been configured. Looks like a stack configuration issue. Could you try to rebuild the stack from scratch? Please execute the command "unconfigure switch all" from master slot to factory default the switches.

if you are going to configure stack using the native stacking ports (dedicated stack ports), then please follow the below mentioned steps:
https://gtacknowledge.extremenetworks.com/articles/How_To/How-to-create-stack-with-Summit-X460-48p-and-Summit-X460-24p
Also, I could see the Stack Topology is a Daisy-Chain. Please make sure all the stack cables are intact properly.

If you are using alternate stacking, then please follow the below mentioned steps:
