I have seen a stack slots separated by 23 miles and it worked fine. If it was me I would come up with another right answer. Having stack nodes that far apart could be difficult to support if the stack where to become unstable for any reason.

Hi community,

I have some doubts which I would like to discuss with you and maybe get the confirmation from someone who already done it.

I would like to Stack two x690 using 100G QSFP28 (not DAC Cable). The reason is simple - I need to Stack them over greather distance (less than 10 KM) between two different Datacenters where I only have SingleMode connections.

I found different information in Extreme Documentations, thats why I would like confirmation from someone who did it.

https://documentation.extremenetworks.com/summit/GUID-CD79BCDB-A801-43F8-8A55-E7345FEAA6A9.shtml

As we can see, there is no Max distance for the listed 100G GBIC.
On the other hand, I found Extreme Documentations where it is stated only til 5 meters.

https://documentation.extremenetworks.com/extremeswitching/GUID-FEBCE99A-99FA-4AEA-A932-46A808CEEB2A.shtml

Can someone please help?

Many thanks in advance

Kind Regards
