Correct, the flash will be formatted.

If you want to configure the switch after it boots into Exos look at ZTP or ZTP+.

Hi,

is something like this possible?

1. Upload exos image to universal switch(VOSS)
2. Upload default.xsf to universal switch(VOSS)
3. Change OS from VOSS to EXOS
Switch should then load Exos and because it's factory default load the default.xsf

Or does the change to EXOS format the whole flash?

Best regards
Stefan

I just did this yesterday and watched the process happen via console. It appears that the EXOS install goes through the rescue image process which does reformat the switch before loading the images to both primary and secondary.
