topic Auto-Sense Voice and non IP phones in ExtremeSwitching (VSP/Fabric Engine)

Hey guys,

I have a mediatrix gateway which supports LLDP med with VLAN override so I was going to try and pass back a blank accept policy from control and let the switch place the device tagged on the auto sense voice vlan. (this is great for large deployments where i have a different voice vlan per site, saves me from having to build out a different location based policy for every site)

lldp med signaling works, i can see the voice vlan on the mediatrix side and it tags itself, but on the VOSS side the port goes to uni-onboarding. I believe this is due to the fact that the mediatrix identifies itself as a class 2 device in LLDP med.

I know I can just turn off auto sense but leave the port as a flex uni and I can then pass back whatever tagged vlan I want from control but i was wondering if there is a way I can tell the switch to treat a class 2 device as a class 3 so it will end up on auto-sense voice? Anyone have any luck with something like this?
