topic VOSS mirror of more traffic that the destination port can handle in ExtremeSwitching (VSP/Fabric Engine)

Hi all,

I want to mirror ALL routed traffic on a VSP 7400 core router, in order to analyse VLAN to VLAN traffic with a firewall appliance running in monitor mode.
My 10G destination port should be able to handle normal activity, but it won't be able to cope with activity peaks.

Will VOSS handle this situation gracefully?
Will mirrored traffic that cannot be forwarded quickly enough just be dropped, or will buffers fill up everywhere and slow down everything?

I'm asking because I saw another vendor's equipment melt down awfully in a similar situation a few years ago.
