    <description>If the user vlan has a L2 connection all the way to the DHCP server, it will work. Bootprelay is only needed if the DHCP server is on a different vlan than the users.</description>

      <description>In our network environment, we are using x620 and x440 and all users getting IP without configuring DHCP relay agent on the switch. how is it possible?????</description>

      <description>The only other reason would be that there is a DHCP server on that VLAN that you are not aware of such as a wireless router added incorrectly or someone added a server but as Brad has stated, if the L2 connection to the DHCP server then addresses will be available to the end clients</description>
