topic Multicast not working with DVR one-ip in ExtremeSwitching (VSP/Fabric Engine)

Hi,

We are seeing some unexpected behaviour with multicast traffic when we use DVR one-ip in our datacenter.
Our setup consists of VSP 7200 as leaf switches and VSP 8400 as DVR controllers. All of these are running VOSS 8.10.2.
When we configure DVR one-ip, a server connected to one of the leaf switches cannot join a multicast group and will not receive multicast traffic. If we then reconfigure DVR with an ip address on every controller it will work as intended.

Did anyone else see this same behaviour?

Is this a limitation of One-ip?

Thanks!

Evert

not sure, if this i really a limitation, but i would check, whether configuring a CLIP /loopback address in the corresponding VRF would help.

We recommend this anyway, as with ONE-IP ICMP would not work without a dedicated CLIP per VRF (in case of GRT it could be the same as used as ISIS source-ip-address).

Please, give it a try..
