topic AP410C Firmware Update Problem on Cisco 3560 100Mbit and AF Power in ExtremeWireless (IQE)

Hi everybody!!

Last week I noticed a problem updating the AP410C. I try to explain it.

- AP410C with version 10.2.1
- Cisco 3560 Switch with 100 Mbit Port and AF Power
- AP runs without problems.

When I update the AP to version 10.3.4, the AP keeps booting in a loop. It doesn't start anymore. Even disconnecting from power is of no use.
If I then attach the AP to a 1Gbit port with AT power, the AP boots and runs again.

I tried to recreate the problem in my LAB. I took a non-manageable Netgear Switch 100Mbit with AF Power. I can up- and downgrade the AP as I want, it always boots up. The AP only seems to have the problem with the Cisco switch.

Has anyone had the problem before or is there information about it?

best regards
Sebastian

Hi Sebastian, I ran this past some of our XIQ technicians and they requested we open a case for this if possible. Would you be able to open a support case on our Extreme Portal (under Support> Case Management)?
