topic IdentiFi APs and wireless controller compatibility in ExtremeWireless (General)

Hello,

I would like to inquire if the IdentiFi access points (any really, but we are mostly looking at 3710 / 3715 line) would be compatible with the HP MSM765 zl Premium Mobility Controller. The controller is already deployed and IdentiFi APs would expand the current network.

Thanks!

No, you cannot manage our APs with anyone else's controller nor vice versa. Our APs are semi-autonomous in that they operate for the most part independently but do require centralized management for configuration management, reporting, or centralized data paths deployment. For that reason, the APs are certified with our software, therefore, for regulatory reasons you can only deploy our AP/controller combinations.
