AP5050D Meshpoint question

Hello,

I need to add more channels to the meshpoint in a live client-bridge connection between two AP5050D APs. But I'm not sure if this going to take the non-Root AP offline. When i was first configuring and testing i know I took down the non-Root AP offline a few times when i was making changes (i wish i remember what changes) and i had to connect the AP back to the wired network.

will i have to connect the non-root ap back to the network by adding more channels to the smart RF and meshpoint settings?
