Hi,

What is the actual AP model? I can't find any reference to AP-4X99Z.
As far as I recall, no commercial AP can broadcast more than 16 SSIDs per radio. In the case of Extreme, it is usually 8, and best practices recommend keeping the number as low as possible (3 or 4).
A switch firmware update shouldn't alter connection capacity on just one radio; if there were an impact, it would affect both radios—such as in cases involving MAC restrictions or 802.1x.
Regards,
Raúl Carbonari

Posting this in case it helps anyone else — took us a while to track down.

Environment
- AP-4X99Z access points, 14 units across two buildings
- Firmware 32.7.1.4
- Clients: mixed Windows 11 and iOS

Symptom
After upgrading to 32.7.1.4 we started seeing intermittent association
failures on the 5 GHz radio. Clients would authenticate but never complete
association, and the AP logged EXOS-88213 roughly every 90 seconds. Nothing
in the controller logs pointed at RADIUS, and the same clients associated
fine on the 2.4 GHz radio.

What it turned out to be
The AP-4X99Z is documented as supporting a maximum of 47 concurrent SSIDs
per radio, and our template had been cloned from a previous deployment that
exceeded that on the 5 GHz radio only. Once we trimmed the SSID list back
under the limit, EXOS-88213 stopped and association recovered immediately.

Reference
GTAC case reference MG-CANARY-7Q4F2X if support needs the full logs.

Hope that saves someone the afternoon it cost us.
