Issues with Windows 8.1 authentication when CEP is Enabled

We are using CEP Mode on B5 Switches with 802.1x authentication enabled and its working fine with Windows 7 Pro but as Windows has release 8.1 and we want to upgrade all the client OS to it we are getting issues.

The ports having CEP Enabled , the Laptops are not able to authenticate and stuck on attempting to authenticate with IP same as of CEP Device for windows 8.1 users.

So kindly help us in resolving the issue on priority as we are stuck with upgrade project.

This is not a previously known issue. I recommend you contact GTAC and open a support case for this investigation.

Hi,

If anyone face such issues with Win 8.1 or win 10 , kindly try below option:

Control Panel\Network and Sharing Center

Ethernet \ Properties button

uncheckmark the following:

- Microsoft LLDP Protocol Driver
