The system only allows for one or the other, both cannot be configured at the same time.
OK.... the reason why I thought of this is I am seeing roamed as "NO" for all users in active clients list.....even after enabling mobility... any other alternative?

Sorry I don't get it - why should roamed be "yes" just because you've turned on mobility?

"...any other alternative?" - could you please tell us what your problem is that requires to have both load balance AND band steering enabled.

I am not able to see atleast one client out of 80 in the active clients list - roamed as "yes".... how to confirm roaming is working or not. I want to achieve end users should bandsteer so that those whose devices Support 5ghz ac can get connected to ac and users should be balanced across ap's which are nearby..

Ok in short... "roamed" is only yes if inter-controller roaming is going on.

i.e. client#1 connected to AP#1 which is local to controller#1 roams to AP#2 on controller#2.

If you've a big conference room you'd need to decide whether to run load or band steering.
As Dough mentioned both isn't possible.
