3965i/e PSE Out (LAN2)

Hi Community

Has anyone played with the POE out port on the 3965 series AP's??
I do not seem to be getting any power out on the send port to power a normal 802.11af IP Camera.
I seem to recall a year or two ago that this feature was going to be made available in a future software release.
Has this been done??

Hi Andre,

What version of firmware are you using and how much power is the AP able to draw?

As per the Installation guide:
Power consumption < 22W (Max.) when operating as AP only
< 55W (Max.) when operating as AP and providing power to a second device

Also is the LAN 2 port enabled?

Whats the power requirements of the camera?

Hi Sam
We are running version 10.41.x.x (Latest Firmware)

The AP is the only connected device on a POE+ (HP/Aruba 2530)

How do you enable or disable the LAN port?

As I know , the PoE out (on the second port) it not yet supported on 3965 AP . Currently only 3912i AP support PoE daisy chain .

Yes it works fine on the 3912i, but not the 3965i/e
Can we confirm this as a fact??

As of firmware 10.41.08 “POE Out” is supported in the second Ethernet interface of the AP3965i. The knowledge article has been updated.
