anyone have any ideas why a mac laptop, ipad, or iphone will not mirror to apple tv? All are on wireless vlan. The wireless works. The apple tv shows up in the mirror list, but when i click on it, the device will act like its trying to mirror, but then doesn't.
apple tv model A1469. . .. Does anyone know what the number in parenthesis means?

Also check out https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3855673?start=45&tstart=0 (go to page 5).

The addition of a number is a feature of Bonjour networking that Airplay uses to see other Airplay devices. What's causing it on your network are ghosts of your own devices not clearing themselves properly. When the device reconnects to your network or gets a new IP address, it see these ghosts and renames itself to not conflict with the ghost device. Harmless, yet annoying.
If you do have some rules in your users applied role that may be blocking traffic, take a look at this article. It may help...
On the controller in the GUI > VNS > Roles > you've the policy rules (= the ACLs = what you allow/deny).

3 SSIDs sound OK to me..... but there are soooo many things in wireless that could affect the client it's hard to diagnose such things in a forum post.

Might be a good idea to get an Extreme Partner Onsite for a day or two to check your configuration and also give you some short training on the controller.
