The marketing # is used for ordering by disti, Partners, and customers. Services for each platform map directly to this number...for example 9XXXX-30135. The WS-C35 is the short description / model name which is easier to remember (e.g., WS=Wireless, C=Controller, AP=Access Point, AI=Antenna Indoor, AO=Antenna Outdoor, etc.).
