topic real capture - "standalone capture AP" in ExtremeWireless (Identifi)

Hi,

as we know we'd use a controller AP in a pseudo standalone mode if we enable "Maintain client sessions in event of poll failure" & "Restart service in the absence of controller" for a PSK WLAN.

I was wondering whether we'd also enable real capture without a controller.
That would give me the ability to go onsite with my "capture standalone AP3825i" and collect an air trace without the need to connect/affect the customers infrastructure.

Or what hardware does the GTAC use to collect a 802.11ac trace without using real capture on the AP interface.

Hi Ron,

you can start Realcapture from the AP CLI.

# ccapture
Usage: ccapture stop | start <SECONDS></SECONDS>
#
